Our Story

Christina Armbrister Design + Build is the culmination of decades spent creating spaces with intention — from restaurant concepts to residential design and now full-scale custom home building.
Christina’s career began long before she entered the world of residential interiors.

In the early years, she created and built restaurant concepts from the ground up — designing environments, directing construction, and shaping experiences that were equal parts functional and memorable. These projects demanded a deep understanding of flow, atmosphere, materials, and how people interact with a space. That foundation made her transition into residential design not only natural but inevitable.

As her work evolved, Christina moved into interior design and later into extensive renovation projects, gaining hands-on knowledge of construction, systems, and the structural decisions that ultimately shape how a home feels. Renovations naturally expanded into full custom building, leading to the formation of CA Bespoke Builders — where design and construction come together seamlessly under one vision.

This evolution created a studio rooted in both creative direction and technical understanding — a rare combination that defines the work today.

The brand extends into lifestyle through Basil & Birch, and into storytelling through Wild Poppy Hill — the family retreat Christina is designing and building from the ground up, reflecting her timeless aesthetic and her love of gardens, gatherings, and intentional living.

The Journal ties it all together, offering a look behind the scenes: design and build progress, creative inspiration, gardens, recipes, entertaining, and the everyday details that shape a meaningful home.

This is our story — a steady evolution grounded in experience, craftsmanship, lifestyle, and a commitment to creating spaces that stand the test of time.

Our mission is to bring timeless, functional design to every scale — from bespoke homes to full-service interiors and tailored eDesign.

Every project is guided by clarity, intention, and an elevated point of view.
