This home began with a layout typical of its era — heavy cabinetry, dark finishes, a cramped kitchen tucked in a corner, and a small wire-shelved pantry that never fully served the family. The spaces functioned, but they didn’t breathe. Light was blocked, the flow felt interrupted, and the main floor lacked connection.
The renovation reimagined the entire level with one goal: create a bright, cohesive environment where daily living feels elevated and effortless.
The kitchen was completely relocated to the opposite side of the main floor, positioning the sink under a wall of new windows to frame the property’s views. A small reach-in pantry was transformed into a full walk-in butler’s pantry, offering generous storage, dishwasher, pizza ovens, convection oven, microwave and more than ample workspace. Walls between the kitchen and living room were removed to open the plan, allowing light to travel and giving the family a way to truly live in the space together.
New custom-built cabinetry, updated millwork, and streamlined finishes introduced quiet luxury, while warm materials and thoughtful styling kept the home feeling approachable and lived in. The living room’s built-ins and the reworked fireplace became architectural anchors, unifying the entire space.
The result is a warm, functional, connected main floor — designed for cooking, gathering, hosting, and simply being home. This is light and living brought to life.
